Eva-Maria Düringer

I'm a moral philosopher with a background in emotion philosophy. My research project "Natural Badness" (2019 - 2024) explores the nature of suffering and asks two virtue ethicist questions: can suffering be understood as a kind of negative telos of human life? And can such an understanding give us new insights into the ethical virtues and practical wisdom? 
It's Philippa Foot in reverse. And it's greatly inspired by Iris Murdoch's notion of seeing lovingly.
