Carsten Dutt is a philosopher and literary scholar. After academic positions at the University of Heidelberg and the University of Notre Dame, USA, he has been a faculty member at the Institute of Philosophy at the Technical University of Darmstadt since 2022. Carsten serves as the president of the Hans-Georg Gadamer Society for Hermeneutic Philosophy in Heidelberg and as editor-in-chief of the journal Archiv für Begriffsgeschichte, for which he is preparing a special issue on Iris Murdoch. Additionally, Carsten is working on the German translation of Murdoch's Acastos: Two Platonic Dialogues, which will be published in early 2025 in the Philosophical Library series by Meiner Verlag in Hamburg.
